I took these photos of a women’s clothes shop in Hemel Hempstead, UK quite a while ago and could not believe that such a large company paying hundreds of thousands of pounds on rent, rates and staff would overlook the main entrance to their shop. Forget the fact that it is the worst possible case of Feng Shui; personally I would not even risk walking into this shop with the thought of the pigeon’s pooing on me let alone pooing all over their company name. |

I visited an old client of mine a while ago after they had just bought an old barn in the outskirts of a quiet village to convert into a business and home. I was amazed when I first saw the barn, I arrived and it was beautiful, the views were stunning and the barn which is around 3000 square feet with two acres of land has so much potential along with hundreds of ceiling and wall beams. |

The most important part of a practising traditional and authentic Feng Shui is taking an accurate compass reading and determining which way your building faces and without this you cannot practice real Feng Shui. You would be amazed at how many consultations we attend where the occupants have told us that their home faces a certain direction, only to find once we are there the measurement has been up to 40 degrees out. |
 |
This area causes so much confusion, we have been to so many consultations and told beforehand that a property faces a certain direction and when we get there the direction of the front door is totally different to the facing direction.
To give the answer is actually very hard, as there are so many different views on how to find the front direction of your home or office, in fact even a qualified Feng Shui consultant can spend some time analysing a property before she/he makes a decision on where the front is. |
